The La Porte City Board of Adjustment consists of five members appointed by the City Council. The board conducts public hearings to hear and decide appeals where it is alleged there is an error in any order, requirement, decision, or determination made by the Zoning Administrator in the enforcement of the development ordinance. The board also hears and makes decisions on special use permits and variance requests. Board members are appointed for 5 year terms and must reside within the City limits.
