Building and Mechanical Permits
Applications for building and mechanical permits can be completed online. Applicant (contractor or property owner) must complete application and attach all required documents for review and approval. When application and associated documents have been reviewed and approved, applicant will be notified of permit fees.

Electrical Permits
Electrical permits are issued through the State of Iowa.

Site Plans are required for:
New dwelling construction
Accessory Structures
Additions
Decks & Porches
Fences (no permit required if 4’ or under)

Building/Construction Plans are required for:
New dwelling construction
Accessory Structures over 120 SF
Additions
Major Remodel Projects
